Ada Scott, 86 of Mineral Wells, W.Va. passed away May 29, 2015 at Ohio Valley Health Care.She was born April 11, 1929 in Lexington, South Carolina, daughter of the late Robert Presley and Fay Presley Jones.Ada worked at Fairmont Foods and Green Acres Motel. She, along with her late husband, Charles Scott, owned and operated Scott Field and Scott Mobile Home Park in Mineral Wells for many years. She was a member of Mount Zion Baptist Church and attended Edgelawn United Methodist Church.Ada is survived by two sons, Bob Scott and his wife, Lori of Mineral Wells and Mike Scott and his wife, Melissa of Elizabeth, W.Va.; one daughter, Becky Wilson and her husband, Roger of Parkersburg, W.Va.; one brother, Jim Presley and his wife, Cheri of Ravenna, Ohio; four grandsons, Bobby Scott of Gauley Bridge, W.Va., Matt and Mike Wilson of Parkersburg and Josh Scott of Belpre, Ohio; one granddaughter, Miranda McCroskey of Morgantown, W.Va.; six great-grandchildren, Logan Scott of Gauley Bridge, Andrew, Ryan, Gideon and Isaiah Wilson of Parkersburg, and Mikyai Scott of Belpre, Ohio; and two special friends, Kathy Craddock of Vienna, W.Va. and Marsha O'Brien of Spencer, W.Va.In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by her husband, Charles Scott; one brother, Ray Presley; and two sisters, Arlene Hesson and Shirley Schaffer.Funeral services will be Monday 11:00 a.m., June 1, 2015 at Lambert-Tatman Funeral Home, 2333 Pike St. Parkersburg with Pastor Danny McVey officiating. Burial will follow at Mt. Zion Cemetery in Mineral Wells. Visitation will be 2:00 p.m. to 4:00 p.m. and 6:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. on Sunday at the funeral home.The family would like to thank her caregivers at Ohio Valley Health Care for the kind and compassionate care given to Ada.
