Freda Ann Ostrowski, 82, of Parkersburg, W.Va. died peacefully on May 13, 2012, at Camden Clark Medical Center, Memorial Campus.

She was born August 25, 1929, in Burgettstown Pa., a daughter of the late Harry and Mary Yost Dowler.

Freda spent her career as a Registered Nurse working at several VA Hospitals before retiring from St. Joseph’s Hospital in 1993. She was also active in the ladies auxiliary at Parkersburg Catholic High School. Freda enjoyed quilting, playing golf and bridge.

She is survived by her husband, Chester Eugene; two sons, Paul (Karen) Ostrowski of Norfolk, VA., and Eric (Amy) Ostrowski of Harrisville, W.Va.; two daughters, Mary Ostrowski of Waterbury, Vermont, and Beth (Jeffrey) Hundman of Bristol, Va.; two sisters, Nancy Milantoni of Florida, and Mary Lou Gilson of Pa.; and seven grandchildren.

In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by four brothers and two sisters.

Funeral services will be 3:00 p.m. Tuesday, May 15, 2012 at Lambert-Tatman Funeral Home, 3005 Grand Central Ave. Vienna, W.Va. Visitation will be 1:00 p.m. until time of service Tuesday at the funeral home.
